How to Find More Work as Freelance Writer

Self-employment can be extremely rewarding if a steady stream of income can be earned. One of the challenges associated with self-employment is finding more work. Freelance writers have the ability to find multiple opportunities if they understand the various options open to them. Here is how to find more work as a self-employed freelance writer.

Using job bid sites

Job bidding sites like Elance and oDesk often have postings for "one of" jobs that a freelance writer can take advantage of. There may be fees that have to be paid upon the completion of jobs which are minimal in comparison to the amount of money that may be earned. These sites can provide ongoing opportunities for a writer with a strong background or for a writer who is just starting out.

Using social networking

Social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter may provide opportunities for freelance writers to find more work. Freelance writers may search for companies who are providing opportunities on these sites by using keywords like "freelance writers wanted" or "need freelance writers". It is important that a freelance writer use caution when searching for work using these methods.

Paid to write sites

There are numerous paid to write sites like Demand Studios, Bright Hub, Wise Geek and Internet Brands (among others) who offer freelance writers up front payments for their work. Helium also offers these opportunities through their marketplace. These sources can provide a freelance writer with ongoing work depending on their individual expertise. Writers are encouraged to carefully review all terms of service to understand what rights they are retaining or relinquishing to these sites before making any contributions.

Making the most of residual opportunities

Freelance writers who are self-employed have a unique opportunity to earn residual income. Residual income can be earned by writing on a writer-owned blog, identifying writing sites like Suite 101 or Wikinut where writers can earn from page views or advertising revenue or from sites like HubPages and Squidoo. Many writers will have multiple sites that allow them to contribute their work for ongoing revenue options.

When searching for tips on how to find more work as a self employed freelance writer, it is important to examine the various options that are available. Using a combination of bidding sites, social networking with companies hiring writers or paid to write sites, it is possible to earn a decent living freelance writing. Writers as a whole should avoid counting on one site alone for all of their earnings as this could prove to be a disaster if there are problems with the site later.

Quick Ways to Make Money Online

The internet, that vast network of interlinked computers in a worldwide system is accessed by literally billions of people everyday with their home or work computers to find information, send email, shop for products and services and many other things. Just about any kind of information or products can be found online and an increasing number of people are using it for their everyday shopping needs. With the huge amount of commerce that is taking place online more people are discovering that they too can use the internet to make money and some of the methods are very easy. If you have ever thought about making money online, I’ll show you a few of the easiest way to do it. jobs in india

First, let me dispel the myth that you can get rich overnight or get paid thousands of dollars for doing almost nothing. You can’t. Once you start investigating about earning online, you will find no end to the pages that will hype the latest “get rich quick” scheme and most of them will try to sell you on the idea that their’s is the one program that works. All you have to do is send in your membership fee to join and you’ll be on the path to riches. Believe me, it doesn’t work that way. I recommend staying away from any program that asks you for money to join. They are designed to separate you from your money and that’s about it.

The facts are that the simplest ways to make money online are the ones that will make you the least amount of money. Then again, you’re doing the least amount of work to earn it. Making money online is like anything else, you get out of it what you put in so if you put in a lot of effort, you can achieve a higher level of income. So, on to the money making.

PTC - The easiest way to make money online is with PTC (paid to click). It’s a form of advertising where you basically get paid a small amount of money to click a link and visit the advertiser’s website. It usually pays between a fraction of a cent and two or three cents per click. The idea is, you spend a few minutes each day clicking links and you can pick up a few extra dollars per month. Like I said, you’re not going to make much with this method but it’s the simplest way to make money online. Anyone can do it. The best PTC programs will also give you several ways to earn money other than just clicking links. They will have paid signup offers, paid tasks, cash shopping rebates, paid surveys, etc., all on one site. Instead of having to join several sites and working toward payout in each one, you combine your efforts into one program and reach payout much quicker and more often so these are the ones to look for. So let’s take a quick look at the ways I just mentioned.

Paid Signups - On the site, they will offer you programs to join through them so they get you as a referral or get a finders fee and they give you a cut of the fee. You can get anywhere from 50 cents to $10 or more when you join a program, sign up for a free trial, sign up for a newsletter, etc. For instance, say you are thinking of signing up for one of the online DVD movie services for movies through the mail. Simply sign up by clicking the link on the PTC site and you’ll get paid $10 or $12 for it. housing finance companies

Paid Tasks - Tasks may be just about anything involving your computer and the internet. For instance you may be asked to perform a series of searches and evaluate the search results. Or it may involve going to several websites and evaluating their landing pages or contact information. Each task will be explained and you will know how much it pays before you start it and the amount paid varies depending on how involved the task is.

Cash Shopping Rebates - Some sites will advertise this as “paid to shop” but it’s actually cash back on purchases. You know how some companies occasionally offer a “rebate”? Well, this is the same idea except you get the rebate credited to your account much faster and you don’t have to wait for it to come in the mail. Say for instance you are going to shop at ebay. Instead of going to ebay directly, you simply go to the shopping section of the site, click on the ebay link from their site and if you buy something, you will get a percentage of the purchase credited to your account. It’s like getting an additional discount on everything you buy online.

Surveys - Paid surveys are an excellent way to make money online. You can do them through some of the PTC sites or join the surveys sites directly. There are lots of companies out there that want your opinion and they are willing pay you for it. One tip about survey sites, never pay to join one. All the legitimate ones are free to join. Once you sign up for free, they will send you survey invitations. You will most likely have to answer a few screening questions to see if you qualify for that particular survey and if you do, you’ll get to take it. Most surveys will take from 10 minutes to 30 minutes or more to complete and the rate of pay is commensurate with the time. The shortest surveys pay 50 cents or a dollar while you’ll get several dollars for the longer ones. Some survey companies will credit your account with cash and some with points that convert to cash when you ask for payment. Either way, you can cash out when you accumulate enough in your account. You won’t get rich with this either but you can make more than with PTC and again, it’s minimal time and effort and anyone can do it. top 5 mba programs

Online Marketing - Otherwise known as “selling stuff”. A lot of people get involved with online marketing simply because they have some things they want to sell, like all that stuff that accumulates in the attic and garage. They usually end up joining one of the online auction sites such as ebay to shed some of the clutter or because they need to pick up some extra cash. Then after selling some of their own stuff, they found other products to sell and made it a business. I know people that have turned ebay selling into a full time job and they make a pretty good living at it. You just need to find the right products to sell. The great thing about ebay is that it’s a very popular site so it comes with a ready supply of buyers looking for products. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on advertising to get customers and ebay takes care of the payment transactions. All you need is a PayPal account. The income potential with online auctions is quite good.

Affiliate Programs - Another way to sell products online is through affiliate programs. There are a lot of companies that will let you join through a simple free signup and then you can be a seller of the products and services they offer. It’s a little harder for the average person with no marketing experience to have a high level of success with these programs though as you have to advertise your products and draw customers to the sale page. If you know how to market though, the income potential of these programs is excellent and a wide variety of products and services are available.

Writing - This next method may be considered by some to be simple but others might not think so. It is possible to make money online by posting content that you have created, such as articles, photos and video. It sounds simple to do, but to really be successful at it, you need at least a modicum of talent to create content that people will want to read or view. Writing articles, as the one you are reading right now for example, and posting them online at sites such as Helium or Triond can make you money several ways. Some sites pay you a percentage of advertising revenues based on how many times your article is displayed and read. Other sites will pay you a set amount up front for the article and some do a combination of those two. If you can write articles that people are interested in reading, you can, over time with a large number of articles, build up a monthly recurring income. That is, once the articles are posted, you will keep getting paid every month as long as people are reading them. How many articles you write and the number of sites you post them on is pretty much unlimited. The more quality articles you can post, the more money you stand to make.

Blogging - If you don’t think your writing skills are polished enough to write articles, you can try a more informal form of writing called blogging. Anyone can start a blog, which is simply a website where you can post your thoughts on just about any subject, and just start banging out content. You basically write as you would speak, you just type it into the computer on the blog site. Blogger by Google is one of the easiest free sites to start with. You can write about anything you want (within reason). Most people write about their favorite hobby or whatever subject they are passionate about. Just post on a regular basis and you’re on your way. Blogging is the easy part but making any money with it will depend on how many readers you get. If you have traffic to your blog, you can monetize it with ads and start building an income. It may take a while to build up anything substantial and your success will depend on how popular you blog is with readers. online education courses

Ebooks - If you really enjoy writing and are good at it, this may be just for you. Have you ever wanted to write a book? Well, consider an ebook instead. You can write a book on your computer, publish it and offer it for sale through several methods online, including your own sales page, through online ebooks marketers or even through Amazon. Ebooks first started as short “how to” type of instructional books and you read them on your computer, but with the advent of electronic readers, the revolution to electronic books has begun. More and more books are being offered as ebook versions so the subject matter is up to you and is virtually unlimited. This form of publishing is really starting to take off, so ignite your creativity and cash in.

Photos and Video - Writing not for you? How are you with visual media? If you’re handy with a camera, the internet has really opened up opportunities for amateur photographers to post their photos for sale. Sites like Shutterstock and others will let you post your quality photos and if someone wants to use it for something, they will have to pay you for it. The site takes care of the transaction for a fee on the sale and you get the rest. How much you make will depend on the number of photos you post and how good they are. Only the best quality photos are going to be in demand. Likewise for video. There are sites such as Flixya or Revver that will let you post video and you get paid for views. The more popular they are, the more views they get and the more money you make. You’ve heard about videos “going viral”? That’s when they are so unique and enjoyable to watch, people that view it tell all their friends and your views increase exponentially. Again, you are pretty much unlimited as to how much you can post so more is always better to build up a decent income, so fire up that video camera and start shooting.

So there you have it. Some fairly easy ways to make money online. It’s not fast cash by any means as some of it will take some time and steady work to build up to anything substantial but most of it can be done and with nothing more than your computer and an internet connection. The key is to keep at it. Don’t give up if you don’t find instant success. Whichever method you choose, stick with it and over time, you’ll find success.

Points That Makes You Love Your Job

The job is easy, but there is just enough of a challenge to keep it interesting. I have to be fast and accurate, while maintaining a friendly demeanor. I have to remember a fair number of four-digit codes for produce and bulk food items. I have to know store policies. I have to be familiar with item locations, so that I can direct customers to the products they are looking for. I have to be comfortable handling fairly large amounts of money.

Job expectations and consequences for mistakes and transgressions are well-defined. Everyone is treated equally under a comprehensive system that “rewards” a set number of points, usually two or three. These drop off after a year. An accumulation of fifteen points during a twelve-month period will result in a reprimand. Additional transgressions after a reprimand result in a suspension, and eventually termination, unless enough points have dropped off to keep the total under fifteen. top us business schools

The store manager is passionate about his store. He provides outstanding leadership which results in a positive and professional work environment. He also has a good sense of humor. The interaction between coworkers is friendly and professional. We cooperate with each other, give assistance when needed, and share a laugh or two in the break room.

Our customers are for the most part friendly and appreciative of our services. I take the occasional bad-tempered or rude individuals in stride, because I have come to realize that their behavior has nothing to do with me personally. I am just a convenient target for their displeasure with themselves or with their lives. On the rare occasions a customer’s words threaten to get to me, I remember that I only have to spend a few minutes with him, whereas he has to live with himself for the rest of his life.

My company makes a difference in people’s lives by providing them with a place to shop for their groceries at fair and reasonable prices. One of our local TV newscasts did a price comparison between major grocery stores and found our store to have the lowest prices in town. It makes me feel good to be a part of this. My paycheck covers my bills and a few extras. I am fairly compensated for my work. top mba programs

The benefits my company provides are exceptional. We get paid vacation up to thirty days and paid sick days. Health, dental, and vision insurance costs under $50.00 for the whole family and provides quality care for a very low co-pay. Life and car insurance, individual or family counseling, and a 401K plan are available at little or no cost. The most amazing benefit is the company’s profit share program. All employees receive shares in the company according to the hours they have worked during the year. These are not paid for by the employees. In addition, all employees are given gift cards in December for $100 to $200 worth of groceries and get a cash bonus in April, ranging from $100 to $1000, depending on longevity and hours worked.

How to Survive First Year of Homeschooling

Making a list of all the reasons why you've decided to homeschool and all of the benefits that you believe can result from homeschooling is a helpful tool. There should be at least five answers on your list. While many families may have one overriding reason that cinched the decision for them, normally there are a combination of reasons and desired benefits. Keep this list handy for those days when you do start to ask yourself, "Why am I doing this?" Rereading your list can confirm your decision and motivate you to at least get through today.

Being Well Organized: A Time & Place for Everything

The Beginning of the School Year

This is key to any endeavor but can really make or break a homeschool family's success. Prepare for the year by creating a comfortable space. Organize all of the materials that you plan to use in your homeschool area. Decorate in some way as a family to make your homeschool work area an area everyone wants to be in. Executive MBA Programs

There are many, many items you may wish to have in your homeschool area, but a clock to help you stay on schedule is a must and you'll want to invest in an electric pencil sharpener. There is nothing worse than having 500 pencils that are either new or broken and wasting time getting pencils sharpened.

Weekly

Organizing a homeschool area isn't something happens just once. Each week we include homeschool area cleaning as part of our schedule on Friday. It's a time to put away anything that we missed putting away. A time to file older work and hang up new efforts. It's also a time to empty trash, dust desks and vacuum all around. This way we can all begin our school day on Monday with a clean homeschool environment.

Monthly

At the end of each month, we go a little deeper than the Friday homeschool cleaning. This is a time to make an inventory of supplies. Does anyone need new pencils, crayons, writing paper or glue? Is anyone still using these books, this abacus or the globe? If not, should these go on a top shelf and what needs to come down now?

To celebrate our in-depth cleaning and organizing, we re-decorate our homeschool area according to seasons and interest such a taking down the "Under the Sea" theme and creating an "Apple Orchard' theme is inviting to us all.

Be Flexible: Think Outside of the Desk

Your supplies are all there and your homeschool work area is a pleasant learning environment and while many school assignments need to be done at a desk, it is good for everyone to leave the desks occasionally. I am not talking about field trips or playing outside, which are both important, but rather finding those "sweet spots" for learning. After all, one of the great advantages of homeschooling is the ability to be flexible and adventurous. Part Time MBA Programs

Consider these examples:

Can you practice naming the states and capitals on a hike?

Can you read in a hammock or a porch rocker?

Can you work on phonics or alphabetical order on the swings?

Can you play a Spanish word matching game on a blanket under a tree?

Sometimes a change of scenery can be both motivating and relaxing too.

Don't Go It Alone: Connect With Other Homeschool Families

The power of empathy is amazing. Another homeschool parent is more likely to understand your fears or struggles. They may be able to offer some useful tips but even just sharing is helpful. Whether you join an organized group or get together informally for play time, a joint P.E. class or a field trip, both the kids and the teachers will have a chance to connect.

Another way to get inspiration and know that you're not alone is to purchase books written by other homeschooling families. These books mean you can call on other homeschoolers for wisdom or encouragement at any moment.

Be organized, be flexible, stay connected and keep that list of reasons why you chose to homeschool handy. These tips for new homeschoolers will help you to not only survive, but thrive through out your first year of homeschooling.

Financial Advisor Tips and Guide

Additional certifications help to enhance the advisors career. Designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner credential (CFP) will provide testament to one’s competence in the industry. A Financial Advisor will need to be fingerprinted and undergo an extremely thorough background check of their criminal and financial history. Be forewarned that if a person has a felony in their background or if they have developed any “Ponzi Schemes” lately an alternative career track would be well advised. jobs in usa Reputable firms will run new advisors through their “tried and true” training programs which are designed and orientated to the firm’s successful business models. The career is not unlike starting a new business venture. Individuals that have started and owned their own businesses in the past and who have the entrepreneurial spirit generally do well in this career. The Financial Advisers will develop their own book of business and clientele and be compensated by accumulating more clients and managing more of their assets.

Having strong credentials is paramount in being hired by a reputable firm. People new to the industry find that there are a number of firms who will bring them on board and compensate them by commission only. That tends to be a dominate business model in the industry. One needs to realize that when working solely on a commission basis there will be the start up phase (like starting a new business) that will likely not provide any income until the clientele and business builds up. This “ramp up phase” will vary by individual. Conversely there are some firms that will provide a minimal salary or draw against future business during the start Generally an advisor serious about their new career and willing to do the hard work and spend the time to build the business should see earnings near the six figure range in roughly two years time. jobs for freshers

The outlook for the industry is encouraging. In fact, opportunities for Financial Advisers are expected to grow faster than employment in other occupations and are reportedly one of the top 10 growth occupations through 2016. Several factors contribute to these projections such as the increased number of baby boomers seeking financial advice and people are living longer which increases the need for alternative retirement strategies. jobs in middle east Additionally, there are so many financial and investment venues available a Financial Advisor can play a significant roll in recommending the most suitable investments and strategies. Successful Steps in Automobile Restoration

Before getting into the basic steps in automobile restoration, good knowledge of the car to be restored is necessary and to have the knack for doing car repairs. Car restoration is about bringing the cars condition to almost its original state. This becomes more difficult when the car to be restored is a classic car of yesteryears. It will require much time to research about an old classic car because the specifications may no longer be readily available.

From hereon, let us deal with the basic steps for automobile restoration for cars from 25 years to 30 years ago. Cars of those years might still have some spare parts available from parts dealers or junkyards. There are also some car owners of those models who might have left their cars in store in a barn or garage.

So let’s start off with the basics in automobile restoration:

1. The car to be restored should be in a stable condition that it would not fall apart when disassembly is in process. This simply means essential parts of the cars structure such as chassis, suspension parts and main body frame posts should not have been eaten away by rust that could cause them to deform or break. online education courses

2. Be sure to have photos of the car taken from all sides and if possible also the interiors. This will be a good reference in case something goes wrong in the process of restoration. Should original photos be available, it would be good to have them for comparison and reference too.

3. Research for availability of parts that will be needed such as: Headlights, gauges, suspension parts, weather-stripping, door latch, window riser assembly, etc. Know the cost and if it is within your budget. jobs in usa

4. After determining all the above, decide if you can do the restoration by yourself, or would need help of assistant/s, or, you will have to hire services to do that for you. If you will hire outside service, then this would be the last of the basics.

5. So you have decided to do it yourself with or without any aide. Make sure that the space where restoration will take place has sufficient space for the car and to move around it and even lifting it. It is also important to have enough storage space for parts or sections to be removed. Basic tools you will need is a good complete set of socket, open, adjustable and box wrenches; mechanical, electrical and circlip pliers; varying sizes of flat and Phillip's screw drivers; allen wrench set; vise-grip; ball-peen hammers; combination rotary grinder/saw; blow-torch; air-compressor and spray-gun; and oxy-acetylene torch set. india properties

6. Normally restoration starts with the cars body parts, shell and interiors. All metal parts to be painted should be free from rust. Body parts with dents or rust out that could not be replaced should be worked on carefully so that it will require only minimal application of body filler.

7. Suspension follows. It is important that rubber bushing, springs, shock absorbers, ball-joints, tie-rod ends, wheel bearings and struts (if any) are new. Restored parts should almost as good as new.

8. Last would be the engine and transmission. If the engine still worked well before restoration then minimal repairs or replacements would only be needed. If the engine was dead it would need to be overhauled if not replaced, depending on the extent of damage it has. Engineering Entrance Exams

Note: Some car restorers replace some suspension parts, brake system and engine with current or newer models. They do this so the car can be used on a regular basis. But for those who intend to restore only for display or keepsake, normally they would retain all original parts of the car.

Trends to Buy Online Health Insurance

Individual health is of a paramount concern, and we all prefer to have a policy that provides sufficient cover, should the need ever arise, but with the minimum of financial outlay.

The ease with which you can search, obtain a quote, and purchase online insurance is immediately evident.

The four main benefits of shopping online for health insurance are:

* The comparison of a cross section of medical insurance policies and providers.

* The ''free'' quote - No obligation to purchase.

* The ability to purchase the ''cheapest'' policy from an insurance provider, without compromising the level of cover.

* One search compiles a list of insurance providers who offer a policy according to your individual needs and requirements. No need to contact individual insurance companies to obtain a quote.

One example of a comparison website is moneysupermarket. It provides a simple, step by step process in the provision of a list of individual health insurance policies. You simply enter your personal details, the level of cover required, the level of voluntary excess (which can lower the monthly premiums), and it will search through all the available health insurance providers. finance assistance to new farmers

An instant list of free quotes, that usually projects the ''cheapest'' monthly premium first, and continues according to each price increase. You are also informed of the details of inpatient and outpatient care provisions, and any additional benefits incorporated within each policy. Should you choose to proceed, you can seek further details, or purchase health insurance. You follow the links and you can either purchase via moneysupermarket, or you will be directed to the insurance providers website to continue with your purchase.

If you were to source the same number of quotes using the traditional methods of visiting an office or telephoning an insurance company, you would need to contact ten plus different companies and repeat the information each time, and collate your own list of quotes. Comparison shopping, via the internet, enables the same collation of data in an instant, within the convenience of your own home and time, day or night. Using the internet to source and compare free medical insurance quotes is becoming an increasing popular avenue for individuals requiring health insurance, at competitive rates. The number of comparison websites have, are continuing to increase, to provide a wide spectrum of insurance quotes. watermelon health benefits

A featured article, by Danny Fell (a partner with the Chattanooga, TN-based marketing firm Daniel+Douglas+Norcross), on the website 'Strategic Health Care Communications' discusses the future of health plans and its connection with the internet. ''Internet applications for health plans span a wide spectrum, from sales and service to e-health initiatives. For example, health plans rely on the Internet to power provider connectivity for electronic claims and reimbursement transactions, support member management programs, enable more cost-effective and timely case review and utilization management, and more recently, to deliver personalized disease management programs in an effort to improve consumer health and lower costs.

Mary Scanlon, senior vice president of e-business at WellPoint, foresees a breakout year for the role of e-health within health plans. "There is much greater alignment with the business and operations side of what we do than ever before," says Scanlon. "It's no longer just about a Web site or a particular online application we are actively engaging consumers online in managing their health, accessing quality and pricing information, and changing behaviors." A proportion of this predicted increase between the internet and the health care industry lies within online insurance. The trend in online insurance has witnessed a year-on-year increase in visitor numbers and online purchases, with the projected number of visitors to comparison websites to source medical insurance quotes set for future increases. women treatment symptoms
