Is Success Defined By Luck or Attitude

This might appear as the austere sort of dedication we see in a world class athlete - to drag himself out of bed each morning at dawn to a punishing schedule - day in, day out. Or we might see it in the commitment of a small business owner as she faces the repetitive drudgery each morning of arriving before everyone else to open up shop, and staying back after everyone's gone to finish the cleaning. Seven days a week.

These people have a way of ignoring life's little distractions and focussing only on their goals. Almost to the point of obsession sometimes. They don't care if everyone around them is carrying the latest gadget or driving a fancy car. And what's more they don't see it as a sacrifice to keep their cash in the bank or invest it in their business, while all their family and friends are out having a good time. They are focussed on bigger and better things and they're happy to hold out for as long as takes. part time mba programs

Success doesn't come out of half-hearted dreams. When you look behind the people who have achieved success you find something powerful and intense driving their focus and commitment. They will have a burning desire or love of something so great that it propels them into action and spurs them to overcome obstacles and make things work. For some people, just the love of money and riches alone is enough to drive them to the finish line and well beyond it. It's the buzz of seeing the dollar signs rolling over into the next digit. It's the game of making money itself. A lot of us are driven by the promise of power and the human desire to make our mark on the world before we die. Expanding businesses, growing empires and having our face on magazine covers is one way of measuring this kind of success and for those who are truly driven by such dreams they will likely find ways of achieving it. executive mba programs

But we're not all motivated by money, or even power or prestige, at least not to the same level, though we may still be driven by the desire to influence others with our values. For example a mother might be determined to escape the corporate rat race and stay at home with her kids but still need to contribute to the family income. This determination might be so great that it drives her to grow an innovative new home business or perhaps even a new industry, bringing other mothers like her on board too. top executive mba programs

If we take a look it's not hard to see examples of passion overcoming obstacles and driving success scientists achieving solutions to unsolved problems advocates achieving social change missionaries and social workers repairing villages and setting up schools parents finding impossible solutions to their sick children's needs everyday people fighting back after an accident and achieving sporting success without the use of their arms or legs. one year mba programs

Part of having a successful personality type is the willingness to take risks and play the hand of luck a little more freely than others. So of course there will be times when potentially successful people fail. And there is certainly a threshold of bad luck that nobody would be expected to rise above without a good start to life or a helping hand along the way, attitude or no attitude. But of the people who do achieve success, I say it is attitude far more than anything else that drives it. online executive mba programs

Money Making Opportunities Online

It was always inevitable that the birth and growth of the internet into a worldwide phenomenon would spawn numerous "get rich quick" schemes. Having said that, there are also many quite legitimate ways to earn money online. An internet user will always have to do something to get their money, as in offline life, nothing on the internet comes for free. The best ways to earn money online, I've found, are through online earn money survey websites.

Websites that email you periodically with surveys about your various interests or lifestyle habits, and they will reward you with either points or cash. In many cases, an internet user will need to have opened an online banking account such as PayPal (www.paypal.com), which is directly connected to one's bank account. It is reasonable that a user would be fearful of placing their banking details online, however PayPal's reputation is second-to-none, and I would trust them with my bank account.

Some websites offering payments for surveys and reading advertising material, which is what all payment - offering sites need to keep them going, are as follows :

1) Ciao! (www.ciao.com) - a German-based survey website, it has branches right around the globe. Ciao! will offer a user surveys according to their interests and lifestyle habits that the user filled out in their profile upon joining. This website offers direct payment for each survey taken, usually in the vicinity of $1 American, and once a user has earned $5 minimum, they can request a cash transfer to their PayPal bank account. Usually, a user who fills out their profile fully should receive at least four-to-five surveys per month, and thus it won't take long to make enough money to cash out.

2) Snapdollars (www.snapdollars.com) - this American-based website also has offshoots for users right around the world. It doesn't really deal with surveys, more paid-to-clicks, where they send you advertisements into your email, you click on the advertisement and open it, and get paid for it, usually 3 cents. You can request a cash check to be posted to you once your account has reached $30. Other ways to earn money on this website are signing onto to partner websites, where you can get paid handsomely, and also referring friends, whom once they earn a minimum amount in their account, you will get paid also.

3) Lightspeed Panel (www.lightspeedpanel.com) - this is another American-based website, and again it has branches going to all parts of the globe. The deal is you fill out surveys which are awarded points. A survey will be a minimum of 100 points, and each points is worth 0.85 cents, so a 100 point survey is worth 85 cents. If you fill out the screening questions and are deemed eligible, according to your profile and responses, then you will be able to complete surveys usually taking around 20-25 minutes. The points are then added up into your account, and 575 points equates to $5. A user can opt to cash that amount into their PayPal account, or build up more points and use them to buy vouchers to various online companies, or even donate the monies earned to charity.

4) Pure Profile (www.pureprofile.com) - again, an American-based website that has offshoots servicing users all over the globe, Pure Profile allows users to open up an account, and then according to the answers they give in their profile, a user will receive targeted advertisements, which if you click on one, it will usually pay between 5-10 cents. Also, Pure Profile sends periodic surveys, which can pay anywhere between 40 cents and $8.00. A user can choose to cash out once they reach the minimum of $25.00, and they will receive a direct money transfer into their bank account. Again, it brings up a security issue, having to hand over one's bank account details, but Pure Profile, like PayPal, has a reputation that is second-to-none. The difference with Pure Profile is that they won't send you advertisements and surveys into your email, you must go into your Pure Profile account each day and check for advertisements and surveys.

5) Opinion Matters (www.opinionmatters.com) - I feel like a broken record, but this is yet another American-born and raised website, with offshoots overseas. According to a user's profile, Opinion Matters will send relevant surveys to a user's email. Upon successful completion of such surveys, a user will earn a minimum of 20 points, which in Opinion Matters money equates to $2.00. Once a user has reached 200 points, or $20.00, they can request a check be sent to their home address.

6) Tech Say (www.techsay.com) - again, an American website that allows users from all corners of the globe, Tech Say, as the title suggests, is related to Information Technology (IT) and all its rigmarole. So, if you work in the field, or are simply interested and knowledgeable on IT, then I'd advise one to sign onto this website. According to one's profile answers, Tech Say will send periodical surveys to a user, worth a minimum of 100 "TekPoints". This amount of TekPoints is equivalent to $1 American. Much like Opinion Matters, once a user reaches 2000 TekPoints, or $20 USD, then a user can request a check be sent to their home address.

7) Spidermetrix (www.spidermetrix.com) - finally, I can say this website wasn't born and bred Stateside. This one is in fact coming out of Australia, and used to only be available to Australian and New Zealand residents. However, as the website has grown, it now provides service to users from all over the globe. The deal is that after filling out one's profile, they go to a survey page and see which surveys they are matched to. A user will also get invitations to such surveys sent to their designated email address. All surveys are open to only one particular nation's residents, so an American user can only fill out surveys designated to that nation. Points are on offer for each survey, usually a minimum of 20. Once one reaches 100 points, they become a bigger and more powerful "spider", and thus earn more per survey they fill out. Once you reach a certain threshold, a user can choose to donate their cash to charity, use it to pay for an online store voucher, or claim a cash check sent via mail. The minimum number to cash out is 300 points, which equates to $50.

8) Planet Pulse (www.planetpulse.com) - this American-based website also accepts users from all over the planet. This website will also send surveys to a user's website, after matching them to certain surveys via the answers a user gave in their profile. A survey from this website typically earns around the 50 point mark. This is exceptionally good value, as that equates to about $5 USD. To cash out, one needs 250 points in their account, or the equivalent of $25 USD. Planet Pulse doesn't send surveys too often, but when they do, they make it worth the user's while.

Well, those are about the best online money-making opportunities the web provides users from all over the globe. Come and join in the fun, make your opinions heard, and earn some nice cash on the side at the same time.

How Local Universities Enhance Community Development

Universities bring so many benefits to communities across the nation and the cities that are considered “college towns” are booming and thriving in today’s economy. Small and large universities alike further the development of communities with educational opportunities, employment, and by helping local businesses. By bringing numerous students to the community every semester, more money is put into the local economy. Universities allow for job employment on many levels and can create thousands of jobs for a town. Jobs include academic, administrative, and maintenance type jobs. Faculty positions for professors, assistants, and interns can bring many intelligent members to the community. For non-degree bearing citizens, jobs in the administrative and maintenance field are also available. online education courses

Most universities allow employees to have free continuing education. This opens the door for a community to have more educated citizens than a community without a university. Degree-bearing citizens hold higher paying jobs and put more money into a town’s economy. When a town has the opportunities for employment that a university brings, there is always a higher housing development rate. People want to live close to their jobs to save gas and travel time. Subdivisions will pop up to give people more housing options and apartments will have regular tenants.

Not only do the university employees need housing, but so do the students. Many students reside in on-campus housing, but a great number of older students rent apartments or houses off-campus, as well. Apartment renting and leasing is important in university towns to accommodate the thousands of students who need somewhere to live during the semester. Apartment complexes create more jobs for construction workers and maintenance personnel and in turn, it means more money for the community’s economy.

For the community, more money means more business opportunities for small and large business owners. As development takes place with a higher population and more jobs, university towns attract larger businesses to be built. Visitors from smaller neighboring towns without as many resources will come and put money into the university town. Tourism is one of the best ways to advertise a town and bring in new visitors and guests to a university town. It brings in more money and helps businesses thrive. Universities that offer unique programs can bring in more guests and tourists who don’t have access to such programs in their own area.

Keynote speakers and lectures on particular subjects bring an audience from all over the region. Concerts, theater programs, and performing arts showcases allow for the arts to grow in a community that may otherwise not have a contribution to the arts. By bringing in concerts and lectures by people from foreign countries, universities offer cultural diversity. distance education india

By having a foreign student program, more people from other countries will visit a university town as opposed to towns without one. Students from all over the world will consider the university when looking at higher education opportunities in the United States. Many of these students continue to work at the university upon graduation and remaining in the town.

There are so many opportunities for a town and community to thrive when a local university is built. Education, employment, improved economy, and population growth are several ways universities help local areas. Development will always continue for university towns as more students attend the university, citizens receive jobs, and businesses continue to benefit.

Different Methods of Homeschool Teaching

In many respects, home school teaching need not be that dissimilar to teaching in the conventional mainstream classroom environment. The methods that can be used are very much the same. The differences lie in the probability of the home schooled child having a closer relationship with their tutor, especially if this is their parent, and the lessons being individualized to suit the learning methods of the home schooled child, rather than using teaching methods to suit the majority of the class, but not necessarily everybody in it, in a mainstream classroom environment. The resources available in a home school environment may also differ. A disadvantage is that there is likely to be less technical and scientific equipment available to you, but an advantage is that you have a wealth of resources in the home environment that can be used creatively.

Children usually have very individual learning styles and considering these will probably affect the teaching methods that you choose in a home school setting. The lessons can then be individualized to suit accommodate the learning styles of the child, which will enhance their learning experience and allow them to fulfil their full potential. In general, these learning styles can be divided into three broad categories and some children will meet the profile of one type of learner. However, mainly children will have traits of two, or sometimes all, of the categories of learner. Using your knowledge of the ways in which the child learns best is beneficial to both the teaching and learning experience. To find out which style of learner your child is, discuss with the child who is being home schooled how they believe that they learn best and make observations of their reactions and responses during different style of activities.

Many children prefer a kinaesthetic style of learning. This means that they learn by doing. A child who favours this style of learning may be a more practical or creative learner. They will prefer to learn through activities that involve movement and creation, rather than sitting and listening, writing or reading texts. If you are trying to teach a child with this learning style, or you are a parent to a child with this learning style, then good teaching methods should include activities such as crafts, drama, role play and design work. These are all good ways to ensure that the child is absorbing
